Legal Disclaimer Regarding Use of Beach Access Walkovers and Public Areas in Beverly Beach
There are four beach access walkovers located along the 1.1 mile length of Beverly Beach on the east side of SR A1A with the first being located behind the Town Hall at 2735 N Oceanshore Boulevard, the second just south of the Osprey Point subdivision, the third near the Si Como No Inn, and the fourth near the Town's legal limit with Flagler Beach.** See note below. All four are open to the public, with the Town Hall location being a handicap accessible ramp with ADA handrails. Due to limited financial resources, he Town of Beverly Beach does not staff lifeguards at the beach and all visitors use the walkovers and public beach areas at their own risk.
** IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING WALKOVER ACCESS TO THE BEACH - APRIL 1, 2019
Under the direction of the Florida Department of Transportation, a major construction project is taking place along SR A1A (Oceanshore Boulevard) in Flagler County.
This project has a direct effect on beach accessibility for several miles through Flagler Beach and Beverly Beach while the FDOT contractor prepares to install a subterranean retaining wall to shore up A1A against beach erosion and collapse, such as happened in several locations following Hurricanes Matthew and Irma. In order to perform this important mitigation work the contractor has removed several public beach walkovers in the construction zone. Those walkovers will be restored when the work is done, but it will take several months to do so.
The #3 and #4 Beverly Beach walkovers, specifically, are affected. Both are currently CLOSED until further notice.
